The Connection Machine Model 5 (CM-5)
The University of California at Berkeley purchased a CM-5 from
Thinking Machines Corporation in the Spring of 1992. Presently, it
consists of 96 Sparc 2 processing nodes, of which 32 are equipped with
vector units. In addition, there are two Sparc 2 front-ends
and a 24 Gigabyte Scalable Disk Array.
