MultiLink Solutions 6.0 Manufacturing and Supply Contents 6.1 Packaging 6.2 Cost Analysis 6.1 Packaging A customer who purchases GroupWare will receive a box imprinted with product information and containing floppy disks and manuals. Packaging varies slightly by marketing phase and targets (described in Section 7.2). In Phase I, since the product will be sent directly to a corporation the visual appearance of the package will contain little promotional features to reduce production cost. In Phase II, since GroupWare will be sold by software resellers, the packaging will contain promotional items, particularly highlighting product successes and testimonials from Phase I. Regardless of phase, however, the box contents will be the same as follows: * Four 3.5-inch floppy disks containing the GroupWare software * A "GroupWare Reference" manual * A "GroupWare User's Guide" * A registration card * A small postcard that a customer can use to request 5.25-inch floppy disks 6.2 Manufacturing Manufacturing can be divided into two needs: production of floppy disks and printing of manuals and packaging materials. Floppy disks will be produced in-house during Phase I and by a service company that can mass produce the software in Phase II. Manuals will be printed by GRT Book Printing in Oakland, California. GRT estimates a cost of $8.00 per manual printed in single color, perfect-binding format.
